Dalton and Jennie
Happy New Year!

2008 was a bitch! Grandma Jennie Shaputis has alzheimers and had spent 2007 trying to run away. Early in 2008 she had a stroke. She has become quite a pain in the ass with her not being able to walk or use her left hand. She thinks she lives in a retirement home and that the family are her doctors. Every day is her birthday or Easter and all she can think about is eating. Her greeting to anyone that will pay attention is "I haven't eaten all day" she does not realize we are going to have to start weighing her on a meat scale. At least she cannot run away any more!

A few weeks later Jordan Uttecht was in a car accident and had a Jeep land him. Several surgeries and a million dollars later he can walk and is playing his guitar again. We all thank God for him just being alive since his neck was broken and his upper body crushed.

Still in a legal battle over the new house as 300K sinks slowly into the ground. Dalton had surgery to remove tonsils and correct his nasal issues, we are hoping that in a few weeks he will be able to eat with his mouth closed! Kevin got to watch his job slip out of the United States and slide on down to Costa Rica (Thanks Experian!)

Christmas at Carter's
Christmas 2008

Christmas was nice and we did the house up with style and class. It also helped hide the defects from our builder Brandon Crounse, who started warranty work and then abandoned us.
At least mom sold 4 homes for him so he can sleep well at night! My favorite part of the holiday is grandma Jennie telling everyone "Happy Birthday" for 8 hours!
